GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite: Two individuals were dead after being ambushed by unidentified men on Thursday afternoon, May 12, in Barangay Santiago here. Initial report by the General Trias City Philippine National Police (PNP) led by LtCol. Marlo Solero, local police chief, revealed that the victims were identified as Vincent Cabugnason, married, 31, and Marilyn Cabugnason, married, 31, both residents of Barangay San Bartolome, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The Cabugnasons were onboard a

black Toyota Wigo heading towards Sitio Carapiohan Barangay Santiago, General Trias City, Cavite when unidentified suspects suddenly fired upon them several times using a pistol of an unknown caliber. After the incident, the victims were immediately brought to GEAM Hospital in Trece Martires City but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The Provincial Forensic Unit and the General Trias City PNP are now conducting follow-up operations for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
