AMERICAN welterweight contender and four-division world boxing champion Mikey Garcia has just fanned the flames of his rumored proposed fight against Filipino boxing great and Sen. Manny Pacquiao even more.

In an video posted by Philboxing on Sunday, Garcia, 33, shared he looks to visit the Philippines to possibly arrange a fight against Pacquiao, the only eight-division champion in the world.

“Big shoutout to all my Filipino fans. I love you guys. I love the support you have always given me. We hope to see you soon,” said Garcia.

“I wanna come over there, visit and maybe we can do something big, maybe we can do something with Manny, finally. Thank you, guys.”

Garcia has always been vocal of his desire to fight Pacquiao since last year and after the proposed fight between Pacquiao and American World Boxing Organization titlist Terence Crawford failed to come through, rumors of the Garcia-Pacquiao fight started to swirl.

It came to the point Pacquiao’s business manager Arnold Vegafria posted a teaser-like poster of the Pacquiao-Garcia fight on Instagram. The fight is reportedly set in July or August.

Pacquiao, 42, last fought in July 2019 when he beat Keith Thurman for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight title and improved to a 62-7-2 record laced with 39 knockouts. Due to his inactivity, the WBA stripped him of his belt and named him the ‘champion in recess’ last January.
