PRC postpones real estate licensure exam
KAITHREEN CRUZ
THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the licensure ex- amination for real estate appraisers (LEREA) scheduled on June 2 because of the surge in coronavirus cases and the imposition of strict community quarantine restrictions in the country.
The PRC made the decision following the appeals of the Philippine Association of Municipal Assessors Inc., the Philippine Association of Realty Appraisers Inc. and Lyceum of Alabang for the rescheduling of the exam.
“It is for precautionary measures to prevent the further transmission of the virus and for the safety and well-being of all concerned,”the commission said. Affected examinees may take the LEREA on September 22.
The LEREA is classified as a small-scale licensure examination. As such, it shall be administered, unless the profession’s stakeholders recommend its cancellation or postponement as endorsed by the Professional Regulatory Board.
