Where to watch, cheer for Rabiya

THE 69th Miss Universe competition hits fever pitch today as the country’s bet, Rabiya Mateo, goes all out to win the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.

Just like the nation does for every Manny Pacquiao fight, Filipinos are sure to drop whatever they’re doing this morning to watch the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant live from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida USA.

There are two ways to watch and cheer for Rabiya, first via ABS-CBN’s long-running partnership to air the Miss Universe pageant in the country, starting at 8 a.m. today on free TV’s A2Z Network.

The other option, meanwhile, happens to be a first for the Miss Universe Organization, which agreed to a live stream of the pageant exclusively on the iQIyi on-demand video platform.

In a previous interview with The Manila Times Entertainment, iQiyi Philippines Country Manager Sherwin Dela Cruz related, “We at iQiyi are excited about this partnership with the Miss Universe Organization. This devel- opment is a key milestone in our journey to bring content that our viewers love through our platform. As the MUO’s official partner for the 69th Miss Universe Competition, Filipinos will be able to stream the pageant live for free exclusively on our iQiyi International app and iQ.com.”

An exciting aspect of the partnership is that access to the Miss Universe library will also be available exclusively on the platform.

Moreover, in addition to this morning’s program poper, pageant highlights, backstage and offstage scenes, and glam cams will be accessible through a dedicated page on the iQiyi platform (web and app) for viewers to enjoy.

The iQiyi International app is available for download on iQ.com as well as the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Finally, those who are unable to watch the pageant this morning may still enjoy the most beautiful day in the universe beginning with A2Z’s re-airing at 10:30 p.m., as well as on cable via Kapamilya Channel and online via iWantTFC on May 23 at 9:45 p.m. Replays are further available on cable’s Metro Channel on May 24 (12 noon and 10 p.m.), May 26 (5 p.m.), and May 29 (8:30 a.m).
