Access road for mental health center built

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Sunday said it has completed several road projects in Metro Manila.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said it paved a road for the new hospital facility being built at the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City.

“The new health care facility project will contribute to the fight against

Covid-19,” Villar said.

In his report to Villar, Undersecretary and DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities head Emil Sadain said a modular prefabricated hospital project will come complete with access roads.

The project site was inspected by task force members Director Aristarco Doroy, Assistant Director Edgardo

Garces and Sadain.

Villar said two cluster units of dormitories with 16 rooms each and double decker beds for 64 hospital personnel and other health service frontliners will also be constructed.

He said the offsite hospital project consists of six cluster units, each with 22 air-conditioned rooms, separate toilet and bath and a total of 132 beds.
