Pinoy cooks, foodies take intl spotlight in 1st AFN Food Awards

FILIPINOS can now showcase their cooking prowess and give their dish the spotlight on the international stage as the Asian Food Network (AFN), in partnership with Sky, brings the AFN Food Awards 2021, a virtual search for the best Pinoy home cooks of Asian culinary recipes.

To have the chance to participate, interested parties aged 18 and above from anywhere in the country simply need to visit www.afnfoodawards.com where they can share the recipe along with a preparation video and an anecdote behind the food. They have until June 27, 2021 to submit their entries.

The awards show will happen on July 24, 4 p.m. via Facebook Live, which will be hosted by Bianca Valerio and have chef Anton Amoncio as special guest and celebrity judge.

On top of receiving wide recognition, the grand winner will become tens of thousands of pesos richer and take home hundreds of thousands worth of culinary classes at Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities.

AFN is available on Skycable channel 248 for Mega Manila subscribers and channel 736 for Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Baguio, Dumaguete, Gensan, and Iloilo based subscribers.
