A total of 7,380 cases have been filed by authorities against violators of the Covid-19 standard health protocols, community quarantine guidelines and the city’s executive orders. The Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC) reported there were 73,440 violators arrested from May 16, 2020 to June 19, 2021.

PSSCC head Angel Sumagaysay said mask violators topped the list with a total of 26,176 followed by face shield violators at 17,425.

At third are 17,274 individuals who did not comply with the social distancing/mass gathering protocols.

Meanwhile, 11,829 persons were arrested for violating curfew and liquor ban and 136 were found faking negative RT-PCR test results.

Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio earlier said the city has been enforcing all modified enhanced community quarantine guidelines based on the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Omnibus Guidelines and the Department of Trade and Industry memorandum circular, as well as all local executive orders to mitigate the surge of Covid-19 cases in the city.
