RESIDENTS TOLD TO SET UP OWN ISOLATION AREA

BAGUIO City Administrator Bonifacio Dela Pena has advised households to prepare their own isolation or quarantine areas because the city’s isolation facilities are almost full. “We hope that we won’t reach that level wherein we won’t be able to accept anymore, but just in case, we would advise you to prepare,” he said. At present, home isolation is done on a case-by-case basis depending on the condition of the patient and the guidelines implemented by the City Health Services Office. The city added more isolation and quarantine units, creating a big buffer before the surge. But with the significant increase in Covid-19 cases, the city’s health facilities are beginning to be overwhelmed.
