Vallacar board reappoints Yanson

THE board of directors of Vallacar Transit Inc. has reappointed Olivia Yanson as the corporate secretary and treasurer of the transport firm, affirming her role as the special administrator of her late spouse’s estate.

During the VTI annual stockholders’ meeting at its offices in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on Saturday, December 4, the board also reappointed Olivia’s son, Leo Rey Yanson, as chairman and president of the company.

A Bacolod court appointed Olivia as special administrator of Ricardo’s estate on October 21. She was in charge of the preservation and management of the estate left by her husband.

The spouses, Ricardo and Olivia, founded Ceres bus lines with VTI as its flagship company.

VTI’s other elected board directors were Ginnette Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Anita Chua, Arvin John Villaruel and Daniel Nicolas Golez.

The company said despite proper and timely notice, stockholders Roy Yanson, Ma. Lourdes Celina Yanson-Lopez, Ricardo Yanson Jr., Juan Manuel Lopez and Ma. Susan Yanson did not attend the meeting.

VTI said despite all the turbulence experienced by the management in the past two years, the company remained strong and resilient as it continued to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino commuters.

VTI said it continued to pursue its mission of providing safe and quality transportation to everyone.
