Rising revenue

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, William describes business as still good.

“In 2019, our revenue was around P610 million, while last year, it was somewhere around P800 million,” he reports. “Lower than we expected, but still more than the year before. This year, we are aiming to close at P1.8 billion.”

By the end of 2022, William projects revenue to be somewhere around P5 billion.

Currently, SCCI is building malls for Walter Mart, warehouses for Abenson, as well as the plants for RC Cola and Zesto. It is also involved in Urban Deca Homes projects, led by housing company 8990 Holdings, which aims to address the mass housing problem. William also proudly announced a hotel project in Bicol, expected to be the highest tower in the entire region.

William reveals that he works between 70 and 80 hours a week. From Monday to Friday, he is already in the office by 7 a.m and gets home by 9 p.m. On Saturdays, the 29-year-old boss conducts site visits with his wife Riza and two-year-old son William (nicknamed “Zion”) in tow. Sundays, however, are reserved solely for spending quality time with his family, his parents or his in-laws. As devoted Christians, the couple also attends church service.

“My ‘me time’ is spent reading news,” William says. “I make sure I’m updated on politics, the economy and the market.”

With William Scheirman Jr.’s business savvy and single-minded pursuit of his goals, SCCI is inevitably sure to be a leading player in the construction industry.
