RCBC creates first online platform for IMAs

RIZAL Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) expands the features of RCBC Online Banking platform, allowing clients to access and manage their investment management accounts (IMA) online.

This makes the Yuchengco-led universal bank as the first financial institution in the Philippines to create and launch an online platform for IMAs – tools for maximizing the returns of clients’ funds by providing access to a wide range of financial instruments. Clients can use an IMA for all their investment needs.

RCBC Trust and Investments Group (TIG) head Dr. Robert Ramos said the clients of TIG may now open and maintain their IMAs using the bank’s online platform. Specifically, the platform will be accessible to existing RCBC clients who would like to invest in primary issuances of government securities (GS) and corporate bonds through IMAs.

“This initiative aims to provide clients with the option to complete their IMA customer journey online including account on-boarding and ordering their investments,” Ramos said, adding that RCBC is now working on the second phase of the project, which will introduce more investments and features that will further enhance the digital customer journey.

RCBC is also the first bank to offer a complete end-to-end digital UITF experience from enrolment to redemption within its main online platform.
