ERIC Martinez secured a second term as representative of the second district of Valenzuela City to the House of Representatives by beating

Magtanggol Gunigundo, a former representative of the same district.

“Many thanks to all of you. Rest assured that I will continue serving you effectively,” Martinez said in Filipino during the proclamation of his victory on Tuesday.

Martinez is one of the deputy speakers in the House of Representatives.

The 19th Congress will open on July 25, 2022.
