Metro Manila remains under Alert Level 1

METRO Manila will remain under coronavirus pandemic quarantine Alert Level 1 at least until June 15.

Malacañang made the announcement Friday quoting the latest measure undertaken by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) as the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to rage for over two years since its outbreak.

Under Alert Level 1, establishments and public transportation are allowed to be fully operational. Other key guidelines include: – Individuals are required to wear masks both in indoor and outdoor settings, in private and public establishments, and while taking public transportation.

– All workplaces and establishments may operate at 100 percent capacity and should comply with national policies on vaccination requirements for on-site work. Flexible and alternative work arrangements may, however, still be implemented.

– Government offices “shall likewise adhere to 100 percent on-site workforce.” Off-site work will be subject to the Civil Service Commission and Office of the President’s rules and regulations.

– Establishments are not required to set up isolation facilities in the workplace.

– Use of acrylic or plastic dividers is no longer required.

– Use of the Safe, Swift and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) is no longer required for interzonal travel to areas under Alert Level 1.

– There will be no paper-based contact tracing, but digital contact tracing can be used optionally.

– Proof of vaccination is required for adults 18 years old and above when entering indoor establishments or participating in mass gatherings, including religious gatherings.

Also placed under Alert Level 1 from June 1 to 15 are Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Baguio City, llocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Dagupan City, Batanes, Cagayan, lsabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, City of Santiago, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, Olongapo City, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Lucena City, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Puerto Princesa City, Albay, Catanduanes, Naga City, Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bacolod City, Iloilo City, Siquijor, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, Tacloban City, Zamboanga City, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, Davao City, Davao Oriental, Surigao del Sur and Butuan City.

The following component cities and municipalities shall likewise be placed under Alert Level 1, without prejudice to those component cities and municipalities already under the said alert status also from June 1 to 15: Looc, Occidental Mindoro; Pamplona, Camarines Sur; Mandaon, Masbate; Villaba, Leyte; Salug, Zamboanga del Norte; Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur; Nabunturan, Davao de Oro; New Bataan, Davao de Oro; San Francisco, Agusan del Sur; Dinagat, Dinagat Islands; and Mainit, Surigao del Norte.

Alert Level 2

Meanwhile, Alert Level 2 shall be enforced on the following areas, without prejudice to their respective component cities and municipalities which may be under a different alert level classification, for the same period: Benguet, lfugao, Quezon Province, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Sorsogon, Antique, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu Province, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Northern Samar, Western Samar; City of Isabela, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Norte; Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental, General Santos City, North Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Basilan, Cotabato City, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
