MORONG, Bataan: Search and rescue operations continued on the second day Sunday for a man believed to have drowned while swimming at the sea here Saturday. The Maritime Morong Monitoring Team reported that Shalom Miranda, 24, of Caloocan City in Metro Manila, was swept by strong waves while swimming at a beach resort in Barangay Nagbalayong, Morong. Personnel of the Morong Monitoring Team, Morong Municipal Police Station, Special Action Force, Metro Bataan Development Authority, and the Sabang substation of the Philippine Coast Guard responded to the incident. The group, however, failed to rescue and recover the victim. Cpl. Jimmer Sanggoy, team leader of the monitoring team, said that search and rescue operations were still going on.
