VARIOUS sectors of society in Tarlac sounded a call for unity to support the new administration to promote peace and development in the country. The call was made through a peace rally at the Tarlac City Plazuela that was participated in by around 300 individuals coming from the Overseas Filipino Workers Family Circle Federation of Tarlac, Bigkis Task Force, Phoenix Riders Philippines Inc., Macondray Riders Group Tarlac City Chapter, Guardian Independent of the Philippines Inc., FS Raap, Solid Guardian Inc., Osias College

students, religious leaders, youth, former rebels, and members of the Malayang Magbubukid sa Asyenda Luisita formerly known as the Alyansa ng Manggagawang Bukid ng Hacienda Luisita — a peasant farmers organization. The gathering, themed “Pagkakaisa para sa Bagong Simula Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” began with a “Motorcade for Peace” in the streets of Tarlac where an influx of peace advocates gathered together for the call and try to end the local insurgency.
