GenTri cancels flag ceremony, council’s session

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite: The local government of General Trias City in Cavite cancelled its regular flag ceremony on Monday, July 4, and the new city council’s inaugural session today, July 5, due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the city.
The City Health Office has recommended not to hold superspreader events and mass gatherings to mitigate the spread of the virus.
From 28 active cases of Covid-19 on June 30, 2022, the city has recorded 56 active cases as of July 3, 2022. In total, General Trias has 19,718 confirmed cases since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
City health officer Dr. Jonathan Luseco is also asking everyone’s cooperation and adherence to the minimum public health standard.
Meanwhile, Resbakuna sa Barangay and the Mobile Vaccination program will continue to be carried out in each of the 33 villages in the city.
Newly-seated Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer 4th reminded the people of the city to always wear a mask in public and crowded places.
