TO celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the 125th anniversary of the Star Ferry Co. Ltd., Star Ferry announces the launch of “The Star Ferry Photo Competition 2022” and welcomes people from all over the world to share their encounters with Star Ferry through the lens.

Star Ferry General Manager David Chow says, “Through the competition, we welcome people to share their encounters with Star Ferry in different contexts with a view to tell the fond story of Hong Kong together, reflecting Star Ferry’s rich historical value.”

There are two categories: photo and video, which are now open for entries till July 31, 2022. People ages 16 or above can submit a maximum of three photos and/or one video via Star Ferry’s website www.starferry. com.hk. Prizes include a staycation at The Murray, Hong Kong; a limited edition, 1:110 scale Star Ferry model; and Star Ferry’s one-yearfree-ride pass or commemorative souvenirs. The winning works will be displayed by a roving exhibition in the Star Ferry piers. Results will be announced via Star Ferry’s website in September 2022.

Jury members include Olivia Cheng, advanced golf coach and multimedia art creator; Henry Fung, senior lecturer, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Hong Kong Metropolitan University; Benny Li, media veteran and photography enthusiast; William Tang, renowned fashion designer and photography enthusiast; Chan Hing-ka, film director; Ringo Tang, multimedia visual artist; and Noel Wong, documentary producer and jury member for the New York Festivals TV and Film Awards.
