LAST June, Mototesto — in cooperation with Petron Corp. and official battery partner Motolite Philippines — gave a preview of what will be the biggest overlanding event of the year. From October 12 to 16, 30 teams would be headed toward the uncharted terrains of General Nakar, Quezon for the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition.

As the event date approaches, the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition team continued to ensure the experience was extremely remarkable for competing teams and campers alike.

Registration for the competition wound run on the PHOX2022 website until September 30. Those who plan on participating should know that mud-terrain tires and recovery equipment such as winches and snorkels are a must to be able to enter the event. With a registration fee per vehicle, each rig will get to experience a challenge like no other while loaded with a certain amount of Petron fuel, plus a certain amount of exclusive event giveaways.

Teams that availed of the early promo were also able to get Motolite’s newest product: the Excel

EFB, a battery that was designed for endurance and gave the best performance even under the most grueling conditions. Aside from all these exciting freebies, the winning team was set to take home a cash prize along with, huge bragging rights of course.

Meanwhile, at the Overland Expo, campers could register until October 7. For a reasonable amount per rig, regardless of the number of occupants, the payment includes the camping fee, event tokens, and a 70-percent off voucher on the Excel EFB battery of Motolite.
