Enchanted Kingdom-DTI OTOP Hub grand opening

ENCHANTED KINGDOM (EK), together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Laguna, held the grand opening of the EK-DTI OTOP (One Town, One Product) Hub at the Jungle Outpost Zone last Sept. 15, 2022.

The hub has showcased famous delicacies from Laguna as part of EK and DTI’s efforts to promote local entrepreneurs and their products. While the food products were sold in the Jungle Outpost Zone beside the Jungle Log Jam ride, locally handcrafted bags and accessories as well as coffee and tea gift packs could also be found at the Pugad Shop beside Agila the Eksperience ride at the Cultural Village zone.

Featured local brands included Harito’s Food Products, Raymar’s Peanuts, Switsis, Piñana Gourmet, Cocoplus, Mama Mia’s, Romalyn’s Ube Halaya, MCA Mushroom, Vegetari, Yollie’s Alamang, Daisy’s Kropek, Kitchen Angels, Dairy Deluxe, Sano, Zennie’s, Amazing Foods, Likhaya, Brics Turmeric, Calle Arco, Nature’s Dew, Rolyolikha at Iba Ba, Leny Handy Crafts and Let Eat Go Coffee.

The EK-DTI OTOP Hub was conceptualized to be a retail store or space where OTOP offerings could be found. DTI and local government units with private partners, cooperatives and other associations could embark on transforming pasalubong (homecoming gift) centers and souvenir shops all over the country into a market-access platform for mainstream consumers and buyers. The EK-DTI OTOP was a priority stimulus program where products rooted in local culture, resources and competitive advantage were determined, curated, developed, supported and marketed.
