BACOLOD CITY: The new office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Sitio Manayawsayaw, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, will be fully operational on February 6, its chief Renato Novero said over the weekend.

Novero also said right now they are accommodating registration at their new office.

“Internet connection as well as furniture and fixtures are already installed at the new facility,” he added.

The licensing division will transfer to the new office in two weeks, Novero said.

He also said on February 3 they will close down their operations as they will transfer their server to the new site.

The new LTO Bacolod site and its building, costing P33.34 million, was donated by the provincial government of Negros Occidental.

Novero said they are preparing for the inauguration of the new LTO site that is set for either

February 21 or 22.

He added that they are leaving it to the provincial government how to utilize the old LTO building at Cottage Road as it owns it.

Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, earlier said the old LTO Bacolod site and the neighboring Boy Scouts of the Philippines that are located in a property owned by the provincial government will be developed into a multi-use building.
