DTI Isabela seeks ecozone inclusion at Asean expo

BY LEANDER C. DOMINGO

THE Department of Trade and Industry R2 Isabela recently paid a visit to Green Future Innovations Inc. (GFII) to discuss the possible inclusion of its Ecofuel Agro-industrial Ecozone in the 20th China-Asean Expo 2023.

Dick Bautista 3rd, GFII Human Resource and External Affairs Group head, said the company’s ecozone offers opportunities for sugarcane plantations and other priority areas to possible investors from Asean countries.

Ma. Sofia Narag, DTI Isabela provincial director, agreed that the expo will showcase the industry’s continuous expansion and the potential increase in job generation, benefiting many Isabelinos.

During the expo, the company will provide an audiovisual presentation and investment promo collateral for the macro promo pitch of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, which promotes the establishment of economic zones in the Philippines for foreign investments.

More programs and activities

Narag has presented DTI-Isabela’s different projects, programs and activities including medical missions for persons with disability and former rebels, livelihood kits for the grassroots community and skills training for microentrepreneurs, among others.

Bautista proposed a partnership in implementing these programs, adding that these fall within the company’s advocacy to strengthen the community.

GFII started its milling facility in San Mariano town in Isabela province in 2011 with a mission to produce alternative and renewable energy while simultaneously creating fresh opportunities for sustainable rural development.
