Oil companies cut prices

FRANCIS EARL CUETO

OIL companies announced on Monday price cuts for fuel products.

In separate statements, Pilipinas Shell, Petron and Seaoil said that effective today, June 6, they will reduce the cost of diesel by P0.30 per liter, and gasoline and kerosene by P0.60/L.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not carry.

The price adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Cleanfuel will come in first at 12:01 a.m.

The Department of Energy said last week that there will be a downward adjustment this week due to China’s weak economic data.

Last week, gasoline prices went up by P1.10 per liter, as kerosene prices went down by P0.35 per liter. Diesel prices were not affected.
