THE country’s economic managers will be flying to Singapore next week to again brief foreign investors about opportunities in the Philippines.
The Finance department said on Monday that Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Socioeconomic Planning Arsenio Balisacan and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila would be meeting business leaders on June 15 at the One Fullerton Hotel in Singapore.
The theme of the briefing will be “Unfolding New Chapters of the Philippines’ Growth Story.” Updates on the country’s economy will be made and discussions held about the Philippines’ growth prospects, inflation outlook, investment climate and business opportunities.
Cabinet officials and Philippine businessmen have embarked on a series of economic briefings aimed at drumming up interest in the country.
The most recent ones were those in Washington last April 12 and stops in London and Frankfurt in January.
