OWhat was supposed to be one of their collaborative vlogs (“Donekla in Tandem”) turned out to be a matterof-life-and-death announcement about their You Tube channel which they were decidedly taking down.

It was Donita who first aired her gripes toward Tekla. But before she could rattle off her partner’s shortcomings, Donita pleaded with Tekla’s supporters to refrain from bashing her.

"Sa mga nagsasabing sumasakay lang ako sa kasikatan ni Tekla, hindi n‘yo alam ang tunay na nangyayari,“a teary eyed Donita began in a cracking voice.

Donita clarified that for the entire year since their collab started, it was she who painstakingly came up with their vlogs’ contents, "Kung alam n‘yo lang kung gaano kahirap mag-isip ng content.”

For her part, the guilty Tekla admitted to having zero contributions to their vlogs citing that most of the ideas he presented on the table were outright rejected.

But Donita countered, “Pero hindi ibig sabihin na titigil ka na mag-isip. Ang problema kasi sa 'yo,'teh, tamad ka. Hindi sa pagbubuhat ng bangko, I love my job. I love what I’m doing. Ikaw, ang dami mong reklamo, ang dami mong alibi. Wala kang focus.”

According to Donita, it’s something that Tekla’s fans are completely unaware of. She went on, "Akala ng iba, pinagmamalupitan ko siya, inookray ko siya, that’s role playing! I’m doing that for

Tekla to shine, para may maisagot siya sa mga sinasabi ko.”

Donita recalled how supportive she had been of Tekla even during their co-hosting days on “Wowowin,” spilling over to the time when they both shared the same roof.

“Kung alam n‘yo lang kung paano ko tinulungan si Tekla, sa ‘Wowowin’ until nagsama na kami sa iisang bahay. Daig ko pa ang nanay niya who’d check on his food, his needs, et cetera. "Di ko kailangan

maki-ride on sa popularity niya as I can stand on my

own. Gusto ko lang magtrabaho,“Donita pointed out.

It was Tekla’s turn to speak after Donita stood up, leaving the former on solo frame.

It was at this juncture where Tekla owned up to his weaknesses, “Magulo lang talaga ang utak ko. Nasabayan pa ng ilang problema. sabi ko sa sarili ko, kesa makadagdag pa'ko sa problema, nag-decide ako na itigil na lang‚ yung channel natin.”

Donita went back to her seat, contesting what Tekla earlier said, “‘Teh, hindi magulo ang utak mo. Ang problema, ikaw mismo. 'Yang katamaran mo ang problema mo.”

She cited their vlogger friends like

Ethel Booba and Beks Batallion who could attest to Tekla’s work ethic. With head bowed down, Tekla stuck to his resolve that it’s goodbye for now to their You Tube channel until he and Donita straightened out their professional creases. Donita, on the other hand, was repeatedly apologetic that their vlog tandem had to end. Did their friendship screech to a halt as well? Hopefully not.
