The Manila Times Chairman Emeritus Dr. Dante Arevalo Ang (right) receives National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairman Dr. Emmanuel Franco Calairo at his office on Thursday to discuss the making of a historical marker for the country’s oldest newspaper, which will mark its 125th anniversary on Oct. 11, 2023. Dr. Ang vowed to support NHCP activities leading to the 125th Independence Day on June 12 and all other endeavors of the agency. The collaboration will also lead to a show on The Manila Times TV where the NHCP chairman and historians from the academe highlight events of Philippine nationhood until 2024.
