Imus mayor signs first EO on first day of office
DENNIS ABRINA
IMUS CITY, Cavite: On his first day of work on Thursday, June 30, newly elected Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula signed his first executive order as the local chief executive of the city.
The executive order aimed to strengthen the government policies on transparency and accountability of public officials in the City of Imus.
I need your cooperation, fellow Imuseños. We need to start to change and sacrifice for the dear city of Imus, there is a lot of work to be done in Imus City, we have very little funding. Imus has a debt of P2.5 billion, it is difficult, but I believe we can overcome it all because I am with the competent new leaders of Imus),” Advincula said in his speech after taking his oath of office before Gov. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr.
You can expect that we will make the city of Imus into an orderly and prosperous city, investors are free to do business here, we will invite more businesses to invest so that everyone in Imus will have a job),” he added.
Advincula also urged all city hall employees to return to their original unit for auditing.
Advincula was sworn in as mayor before Remulla along with Rep. Adrina Jay “AJ” Advincula, Vice Mayor Homer “Saki” Saquilayan, board members Arnel Cantimbuhan and Shernan Jaro, and councilors Lloyd Jaro, Yen Saquilayan, Larry Nato, Jelyn Maliksi, Dennis Lacson, Darwin Remulla, Mark Villanueva, Totie Ropeta, Sherwin Comia, Wency Lara, Enzo Ferrer and Igi Revilla Ocampo.
Ganyan po tatakbo ang araw ko bilang alkalde (My job now is to go around the markets, schools, and ongoing projects in the morning, then office works at noon and meetings in the afternoon. That’s how my day as mayor will run),” Advincula said.
