PHILIPPINE actor Dindo Arroyo — Conrado Manuel Ambrosio 2nd in real life — was arrested by authorities in Laguna on Tuesday evening, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday.

Ambrosio, 61, was nabbed by the PNP at his residence in Barangay Binan, Binan City, Laguna by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 101 in Santa Rosa City.

Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, officer in charge of the Laguna PPO, said Ambrosio is facing two counts of violating Republic Act 10175 or the “Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.”

The court recommended P10,000 bail for each case.

Ambrosio is currently detained at the BJMP of Biñan City while the court that issued the arrest was informed of the action taken.

“Sa pagkaaresto ng akusado, ipinapakita lamang na walang pinipili ang ating batas (With the arrest, it shows that the law does not exclude anybody),” Silvio said.

It was not clear though as to what action Ambrosio did that led to his arrest.
