4 KILLED IN OLONGAPO ROAD MISHAP

OLONGAPO CITY: Four people were killed when the car they were riding collided head on with a dump truck in New Cabalan, Sunday night.
The police identified the victims as Renz Tiu, Veronica Ng, Romnick Tiu, and Carlo Esguerra who all suffered severe head and body injuries.
The driver of the dump truck, identified as 56-year-old Domingo
Faelanca Firmo of Marilao in Bulacan, was unharmed and is now under police custody.
The police said the victims, who were all from Mariveles in Bataan, came from a wedding proposal. They were heading back home when the accident occurred at around 8 p.m. at the curved portion of Jose Abad Santos Avenue, near the Iram Resettlement Area, Barangay New
Cabalan, Olongapo City.
The victims were riding a Toyota Camry with plate number XPR 424 and were traversing Jose Abad Santos Avenue when the dump truck with plate number CAK 1460 crashed into them.
The collision caused the car to be crushed underneath the truck and its passengers trapped in the wreckage.
The victims were declared dead on arrival by doctors at the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital.
Firmo said the truck has been commissioned by a mining firm in Zambales. He said he was feeling ill and was asked by the truck’s owner to bring the dumper back to Manila when the accident took place.
