Four dead as car slams into truck

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal: The driver and all three passengers of a car were killed after it slammed into the rear end of a 16-wheeler truck early Monday morning along Marcos Highway.

LtCol. Ryan Manongdo, chief of the Antipolo Police Office, said the victims were aged between 21-22 years old and residents of the city.

The driver of the ill-fated car was identified as Juanito Magsino.

According to the report, the accident occurred after the black Honda Civic slammed into the back of the truck, totally wrecking the car.

Police are now checking if the accident was due to an illegal drag race or if alcohol was involved.

Presently, investigators are still trying to obtain CCTV footages in the area.

The truck driver, whom the police did not identify, was held for questioning.
