Remulla, Tolentino sisters take oath of office

TANZA, Cavite: Reelected Gov. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. was formally sworn in for his second term as provincial chief executive of Cavite province, Monday, June 27, at the historic Sta. Cruz church in Poblacion.

Remulla was sworn in by Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and witnessed by his mom, Ditas Remulla, wife Dr. Agnes Tirona-Remulla, and children in simple rites.

Newly elected Vice Gov. Athena Tolentino took the oath of office before her uncle Sen. Francis Tolentino.

The vice governor’s older sister, Cavite Eighth District Congresswoman-elect Aniela Tolentino, was sworn in by Governor Remulla at the rectoral area of the historic parish where Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was sworn into office as the first Philippine President during the inauguration on March 22, 1897.

Remulla told The Manila Times that “his second term will focus on the construction of additional public school buildings, lighting of roads, and more road projects so that we can easily go around Cavite.”

The Tolentino sisters were accompanied by their parents Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and Vice Mayor Dr. Agnes Tolentino.
