Most Googled AI question
RECENT data reveals a surge in user concerns about Snapchat’s AI capabilities. Research by AIHungry.com found that “how to get rid of Snapchat AI” is now the second most searched AI-related query in the world, closely trailing the basic question, “What is AI?”
Snapchat faces criticism with reports of their AI autonomously posting stories and that their AI chat allegedly attempted to “meet” a minor.
These events have likely amplified search trends, with the term “how to get rid of Snapchat AI” garnering over 25,000 monthly searches. Similar queries like “how to delete Snapchat AI” also have close to 6,000 monthly searches.
Though not all is bleak for Snapchat’s AI, the search term “how to get my AI on Snapchat” has 15,000 people searching for it a month. Likely driven by the step-bystep rollout of the feature, with not all accounts having it available.
This contrasting data highlights the dualedged nature of AI adoption — while some users are keen to engage, others are actively seeking ways to disengage.
“While global AI regulation might not be a mainstream concern, personal AI implications surely are. Incidents like Snapchat’s unsolicited stories or the alleged invite to “meet” a minor underscore the tangible impact of AI on our daily lives,” according to a post at AllHungry.com. “We analyzed search terms containing the keyphrase “AI” paired with a question synonym. Using Ahrefs.com, we then ranked these terms based on global search volume on Google, identifying the top 10 questions and their monthly search volume.”
The top 10 most searched questions and their monthly search volumes were: what is AI, 143,000; how to get rid of my AI on Snapchat, 25,000; how to get my AI on Snapchat, 15,000; how to get Snapchat AI, 11,000; what does AI stand for, 9,300; what is generative AI, 8,300; how does AI work, 8,100; how to get rid of AI on Snapchat, 7,900; how to get AI on Snapchat, 7,300; and, what does AI mean, 7,200.
