AS part of OKBet’s Play It Forward campaign, the local gaming platform is set to hold a youth basketball camp sometime this month.

“OkBet is committed to support and develop the next generation of Filipino athletes,” OKBet Vice President for Marketing Business Development Robert Chen said on Wednesday, October 5, during the presentation of candidates for the Mr. & Ms. Chinatown (MMCT) 2022.

Select students from the Alternative Learning System program of Marcela Agoncillo Elementary School, Rajah Solaiman Elementary School and Pedro Guevarra Elementary School will be taught the fundamentals of basketball. They will be trained by players and coaches from the Maharlika

Pilipinas Basketball League team GenSan Warriors OKBet, who were also present at the MMCT 2022 launch.

“Aside from supporting young athletes, OKBet also supports young generations from different fields, even in the field of pageantry,” said Chen, adding that OKBet is the newest sponsor of MMCT 2022.

The 16 MMCT candidates made their first public appearance on Wednesday at the Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, Manila. Each of the contestants introduced themselves and their advocacies.

This is the first MMCT pageant since the country was placed on lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
