ROSALINDA Faustino and Angelina Colonia added two silver medals for the Philippines at the International Weightlifting Federation Youth World Championships in Durres, Albania, on Tuesday, March 28 (Manila time).

Faustino registered a total lift of 178 kilograms in the women’s 55kg division for the overall silver medal.

Earlier, Faustino raised 100 kilograms in clean and jerk which was good for the gold medal in the said category.

She, however, lifted 78 kilograms in the snatch.

Meanwhile, Colonia bagged the overall silver medal on Monday night when she raised a total of 155 kilograms.

Colonia lifted 72 kilograms in snatch which earned her a gold medal but only raised 183 kilograms in clean and jerk.

In total, the Philippines notched four overall medals in the Youth Championships, with Prince Keil de los Santos and Albert Ian de los Santos bagging gold medals.

Prince Keil ruled the men’s 49kg while Albert Ian topped the men’s 61kg.
