YTO Express PH launches in grand fashion

YTO Express Philippines, the local subsidiary of YTO Express International Holdings Ltd., launched in the Philippines in a grand ceremony at their warehouse in Bustos, Bulacan on April 30.

In attendance were Batangas Gov. Hermilando Mandanas, Philippine International Trading Corp. President and CEO Dave Almarinez and his celebrity spouse Ara Mina, and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Chief of Staff and Consultant to the Secretary Atty. Ira Paulo Pozon.

The event was also graced by business luminaries including Lugene Ang, president of the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PCCCII); Levy Santos, senior vice president for Sales and Marketing of Foton Motors Philippines Inc.; and representatives from East West Banking Corp., Philippine Business Bank Inc. and Asia United Bank Corp.

The grand launch coincided with the turnover of 300 Foton Motors trucks also in April, as the company is poised to begin operations in the National Capital Region and parts of nearby provinces.

In a video message, DICT Chief Emmanuel Rey Caintic said in his congratulatory speech that “the logistics market alone is set to reach over P1 trillion by 2024. [YTO’s] entry into the Philippine market will bring thousands of jobs to our Filipino citizens, providing additional options to our online sellers, and improve the competitiveness of this sector.”

YTO Express Co. Ltd. Chairman Weijiao Yu in a video message said that “YTO has launched air cargo routes connecting Manila, Hangzhou, Changsha, Yiwu and Nanjing to promote cross-border logistics and contribute to the economic development and logistics of the Philippines, China and even the world.”

YTO has over 40 overseas offices and subsidiaries, 500 partners and agents offering services in around 150 countries across six continents. In 2020, YTO delivered one of the first batches of Covid-19 aid donated by the Chinese government to the Philippines.

This year, YTO Express is the official logistics sponsor of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
