NITTO Tires Philippines, represented by its official distributor, YHI Philippines Incorporated, is proud to announce its support for the 2023 Great Philippine Overland Loop, organized by Mototesto Overland Equipment.
Nitto Tires assumes the role of the official tire partner for this remarkable 20-day overland journey that will encompass a circumnavigation of the Philippines.
Scheduled from Sept. 24 to Oct. 13, 2023, the Great Philippine Overland Loop will feature a convoy of 20 4x4 off-road vehicles embarking on a challenging 6,500-kilometer expedition, traversing 38 provinces within the Philippines. To underscore the adventure’s audacity, the overlanding team plans to undertake six RORO (roll-on/roll-off) ship crossings.
A primary objective of the Great Philippine Overland Loop is to showcase the splendor of each town and province explored during the expedition, while also celebrating the diverse cultures across the nation. Moreover, the endeavor seeks to inspire both local and international tourists to discover more of the Philippines through overlanding.
The official partnership agreement between Mototesto Overland Equipment Chief Executive Officer Tim Tuason and YHI Philippines-Nitto Tires Philippines General Manager Jayson Delloso marks a significant milestone for both companies.
Expressing his enthusiasm for this adventure, Delloso stated: “This promises to be an epic journey, and Nitto Tires is honored to be part of this monumental event, paying homage to the Philippines’ beauty and promoting inter-island travel to boost local tourism.”
Renowned for its tire patterns cherished by countless off-roading and overlanding enthusiasts, including the Terra Grappler, Trail Grappler, and the latest addition, the Ridge Grappler, Nitto Tires is the ideal tire partner for the Great Philippine Overland Loop. With its diverse range of tire patterns, Nitto Tires offers overlanding enthusiasts a versatile selection suitable for various terrain types.
The 20-day overland expedition, encompassing a circumnavigation of the Philippines, will be meticulously documented by an onboard production team. To bolster local tourism in every town and province visited during the journey, all raw footage captured will be made accessible to local tourism departments. The entire adventure will be presented through a coffee table book and a four-part YouTube series.
