Vespa officially introduces the new GTV at Vespa Festa 2023

JOHN REY SAN DIEGO

ENRICHING the Vespa lifestyle with excitement and flair, the Autohub Group, the official distributor of Vespa in the country, hosted the inaugural Vespa Festa 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia (MoA) Concert Grounds in Pasay City.

Bringing together over 1,000 Vespisti from different parts of the metro, Vespa Festa 2023 transformed into an evening filled with entertaining games, raffle draws, and performances by the Side A band. Vespa enthusiasts from the Greater Manila Area, spanning from Malolos, Bucalan to Lipa, Batangas, converged at SM MOA to share their passion for the iconic Italian scooter brand.

Beyond the festivity, the Vespa Festa 2023 also marked the unveiling of Vespa Philippines’ latest addition to its lineup — the Vespa GTV.

Ideal for road-cruising enthusiasts seeking to savor the joy of motorcycle riding, the Vespa GTV is powered by a 300 HP singlecylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection. Sharing its powerplant with the Vespa GTS, the GTV boasts an impressive 23 hp output, making it the most powerful engine ever mounted in a Vespa.

The Vespa GTV seamlessly blends sportiness with stylistic upgrades within the new GTS range. The fender-mounted headlight clusters now feature full LED lighting, a captivating styling element for the GTV. Additionally, it sports a full digital instrument cluster in an elegant circular shape, enhancing the classic look of the exposed handlebar.

The windshield is adorned with a “necktie,” boasting sporty lateral slits and orange edging. Rolling on matte black wheels with orange graphics, the Vespa GTV exudes a distinctive racing vibe.

One of its standout features is the singleseat saddle, radiating a racing aura. The rear part of the seat is installation-ready for a hardcover color-coded to match the body, reminiscent of typical racing Vespa fairings. This removable cover is available as a separate accessory, and the saddle is street legal for two-up riding, offering ample and comfortable seating.

Distinguished by its fender-mounted low headlight and rear light cluster, the new Vespa GTV is available in Beige Sabbia Glossy and Grey Titanio Glossy colors. Both variants feature contrasting orange body accents diagonally across the side panels.

Beyond its stylish racing appearance, the GTV boasts technological advancements enhancing the Vespa experience. The keyless system replaces the traditional ignition switch, offering a practical knob for starting without the need for a physical key. The digital LCD instrumentation displays essential information like speed, average consumption, and battery charge status. It also integrates with the Vespa MIA system, delivering call, message and music notifications from a connected smartphone.

Equipped with a USB port on the back of the windshield for device charging, the Vespa GTV includes an ASR electronic traction control system and an antilock braking system for added safety.

Priced at P425,000, the new Vespa GTV is now available. For more information about Vespa Philippines’ latest addition, visit your nearest Vespa dealership.
