Aston Martin celebrates ‘Arcadia’ in Tokyo
ASTON Martin’s highly anticipated biennial gathering, “Arcadia,” concluded with a resounding success, wrapping up an enchanting three-day spectacle in Tokyo and marking the grand finale of the luxury marque’s yearlong 110th-anniversary celebration.
The grounds of the prestigious Senso-ji Temple on Kinryuzan in Asakusa, Tokyo, hosted over 70 rare and special Aston Martin models. This stunning display paid homage to 110 years of British ultraluxury automotive excellence. Among the highlights were the regional debuts of the DB12 Volante and Valour, an ultraexclusive front-engine V12 sports car with manual transmission.
The event reached its pinnacle with the largest-ever Aston Martin owners’ parade witnessed in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. 50 cars paraded through Tokyo’s vibrant streets, commencing from the iconic Senso-ji Temple. At the same time, the prestigious Aston Martin Concours d’Elegance unfolded at Senso-ji Temple on November 17 and 18, showcasing over 70 exquisite models spanning a century of automotive craftsmanship. The Best in Show honor was bestowed upon the rare and elegant “Aston Martin Speed Model Type C LMF385,” celebrated for its rarity and impeccable condition.
The highlight of the festivities was the track day held at the renowned Fuji Speedway. Enthusiasts and owners from across the APAC region, totaling 350, experienced the exhilarating high-speed spectacle. This marked the largest gathering of Aston Martin cars in APAC history, with 110 cars on the track. Guests explored the Aston Martin Arcadia Gallery, featuring unique models such as the Valhalla, 2023 Formula One replica, DBR22, DB5 Goldfinger Continuation, and Valour.
The celebration continued at the foot of Mount Fuji with a spectacular Gala dinner and charity auction at the Fuji Speedway Hotel. Supported by Aston Martin partners, the evening raised an impressive 35.4 million yen for charity. The auction’s highlight was a thrilling bidding war for a 2024 Formula 1 replica car, fetching an outstanding bid of 29 million yen. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
Sunday, November 19, witnessed the largest gathering of Aston Martin cars and owners in APAC history at the Fuji Speedway. Owners seized the opportunity to push their Aston Martins to the limit during four dedicated sessions: Heritage Run, Family Run, Special Racing Run and a Finale Parade Run. The addition of hot laps in the DBX707, the world’s most powerful ultra-luxury SUV, added an extra layer of excitement. The Airbus ACH130 Aston Martin Edition also made a special appearance, flying in from Australia.
