FOR the second time this season, Filipino American National Hockey League (NHL) player Jason Robertson of the Dallas Stars has been named as the league’s First Star of the Week.

Robertson is currently leading the league in goals with 19, including six in his last four games.

He scored twice in a 3-2 loss to defending champions Colorado Avalanche on November 21 and netted two goals in a 6-4 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on November 23. He tallied another pair of goals in a 5-4 overtime setback to the Winnipeg Jets on November 25. Robertson also scored a goal in a 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Monday (Tuesday in Manila).

He has a career point streak of 16 games, dating back to October 27.

“In doing so, Robertson became the third different player in Stars/

North Stars history to register three consecutive multi-goal outings, following Dino Ciccarelli (3 times) and Mike Modano,” the NHL’s statement on Monday wrote.

Robertson was also named the NHL’s First Star of the Week on November 7.

Apart from leading the NHL in goals, Robertson currently ranks second in points with 35 and sixth in shots on goal with 96.
