POLICE Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) was conferred on a total of 359 police commissioned officers (PCOs), from various police offices or units nationwide after successfully passing the two phases of the PESE process.

On Aug. 14, 2022, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) conducted the written examination, which was the first phase of the PESE process, at designated testing centers in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, yielding a total of 384 passers.

From Oct. 22 to 23, 2022 and from Nov. 5 to 6, 2022, Napolcom conducted the validation interview, which was the second and final phase of the PESE process, of a total of 511 interviewees at the Napolcom central office. Out of the 511 interviewees, 381 were those who passed the August 14 written examination while 130 were those who passed the PESE test in the previous years.

Pursuant to Napolcom Resolution No. 2022-0674, 359 or 70.25 percent out of the 511 interviewees successfully passed the final phase of the PESE process and were conferred with the PESE certificate during the 17th PESE Conferment Rites, which was held at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Multipurpose Center, PNP National Headquarters, Camp Crame, Quezon

City on Jan. 20, 2023 at 10 a.m.

PESE is an eligibility requirement for the third level ranks of police colonel, police brigadier general, police major general, police lieutenant general and police general. It assesses the ability of PCOs in answering analytical questions on police leadership and police values. It is designed to ensure the qualifications of future leaders in the police service.
