South Korea donates medical equipment to AFP
THE Ministry of National Defense of South Korea donated several medical supplies and equipment to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center.
The turn-over ceremony was headed by Kim Sujeong, Assistant Director from the Ministry of National Defense and other military medical team.
These donated supplies include 500 pieces of Combat First Aid Kit worth $8,500, AI-Based Reading Solution worth $76,000, and Portable X-Ray worth $27,000, to support the provision of humanitarian assistance to the armed forces.
The Ministry of National Defense also donated one AI-Based Reading Solution and Portable X-Ray to the Rural Health Unit of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, which will help the locals in terms of medical diagnosis.
The donation of South Korea is part of the successful implementation of the Project-based Community Medical Deployment/Medical Aid Provision (PCMD/ MAP Program), which seeks to strengthen collaboration in military medicine among the Asean Defense Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM+) countries.
The said medical supplies and equipment will be received by Fort Magsaysay Station Hospital in Nueva Ecija.
