SINGER-songwriter Glaiza De Castro and rapper Max Importunate dropped a fresh collaboration titled ‘Tawid Dagat.’

The song features a mixture of hip-hop, alternative pop, and synth wave. The track unfolds a story of not giving up on love — notwithstanding challenges embedded in the undulating journey that comes with longdistance relationships.

The track was written by de Castro, in which the narrative was inspired by her long-distance relationship with her now husband David Rainey, during the pandemic. The single’s development was her way of remembering not to give up on love despite its challenges.

Importunate says he also related to the track’s narrative and even contributed a verse when he joined the project.

The collab has since proven a hit for many OPM fans going through the same plight--a refreshing message just like the sound that obstacles can build a stronger foundation of a relationship.

Moreover, Tawid Dagat offers a novel creative approach from both artists. De Castro fires away her rapping savvy while Importunate ventures into a new blend of sonic style.
