ONE hundred twenty-five applicants out of 719 job seekers were hired on the spot during the “AgaySenso Job Fair” initiated by Mayor Agatha “Agay” Paula Cruz through the Municipal Public Employment Service Office (PESO) at the Guiguinto Municipal Athletic and Cultural Center on Friday.

Cruz said 17 local companies offered 1,434 job opportunities. One overseas employer from UNO Overseas Placement Inc. offered 47 job vacancies and 115 jobs came from the LGU-Guiguinto Community Based Monitoring System.

Cruz thanked the 20 employers who gave opportunities for the Guiguinto job seekers, and all government agencies who participated in the activity.

Coinciding with the event, Cruz launched the “AgaySenso Job Portal” where job applicants can send applications using mobile phones or the internet.

According to Guiguinto PESO head Emelita San Agustin, the job openings were generated from different companies in Bulacan and nearby provinces including D’ Jobsite General Services Inc., Paramount Human Resource Multi Purpose Cooperative, Ajinomoto Philippines Flavor Food Inc., Alphatech Development Corp., Waltermart Supermarket Inc., Symanpro Manpower Service Contractor Corp., Universal Promo Specialists Inc., Universal APA Corp., Rising Hope Edutech Corp., BL Vet Clinic and Pet Salon, Centegra Technology Inc., Acabar Marketing International Inc., Mirof Resources Inc., Indophil Textile Mills Inc., Mets Logistics Inc., Crown Asia Chemicals Corp., and Our Builders Warehouse Inc.
