PH’s 100 millionth child gets gifts

HUSBAND and wife Ariel and Ruth Ambid from Pigcawayan town, North Cotabato, received on Thursday, August 4, a gift package from the Commission on Population and Development (Popcom) for their son who was the 100 millionth child born in the Philippines.

The child, Archie Ambid, was born on July 27, 2014 in Malu-ao village, Pigvawayan town, North Cotabato.

The Popcom acknowledged Archie after the Philippines reached the 100 millionth mark of its population on July 27, 2014.

As a gift, Archie received grocery items, school supplies, and cash amounting to P6,000 from the regional and provincial Popcom office.

Pigcawayan Mayor Juanito Agustin and Cotabato First District Board Member Sittie Eljorie Antao also offered gifts to the family.
